
Halloween How to - Mini Pizza Mummies
We love holiday-inspired food, but sometimes it can be hard to think of savory-inspired recipes. Mini pizza mummies are a must-make dish for your Halloween menu. Just four ingredients and about 15 minutes to make! These pizzas are a great bonding activity. Everyone can make their own silly face and show off their creativity. The whole family can participate, right down to the little toddlers. So, let’s get started and make this Halloween one they’ll never forget.Ingredients needed:
8 oz whole wheat French bread baguetteFrench bread baguette
1 cup marinara sauce
8 black olive slices from 2 olivesolives
4 slices 0.75 oz each mozzarella cheese
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
Cut the bread in half lengthwise if using a baguette, then cut each half crosswise to give you 4 pieces. Slice the cheese into strips. Place the bread, cut side up on a baking sheet. Spread 1/4 cup of the sauce onto each piece.
Place 2 slices of olives on each pizza to make eyes. Top each with the slices of mozzarella cheese, overlapping to look like mummy bandages. Bake in the center rack for 8 minutes. The cheese should be melted and bubbling, and the bread should be crisp.
Variations:
A loaf of your preferred bread or English muffins can be used in place of a bread baguette. You can also add more toppings under the cheese such as sliced mushrooms, veggies like bell peppers and zucchini, or pepperoni and salami. The sky’s the limit with these fan favorites.
