
Frank's Classic Chili
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. fresh ground beef
- 1 sweet yellow onion, diced
- 1 15 ounce can of chili beans
- 1 14.5 ounce can of petite diced tomatoes
- 4 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
Preparation
Mix all the seasoning together and set aside. Dice the onion and add to the pot with the ground beef. Brown the beef and onions together. Add the chili beans and the tomatoes plus one chili bean can worth of water. Add the seasoning mixture to the pot and stir. Let the chili simmer for about one hour until thickened. Serve with some saltine crackers and some shredded cheddar cheese for a great winter meal the whole family will enjoy!
