
Elevated Chocolate Box Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 box devil's food cake mix
- 1 large box instant chocolate pudding dry
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°
Butter and flour baking pans.
Whisk together dry ingredients in a large bowl until combined. Mix together eggs, butter, milk, sour cream, and vanilla in a separate bowl until well combined.
Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and beat with a hand mixer for 2 minutes (do not over-mix).
Bake at 350° until puffed and a toothpick comes out clean, 18 to 20 minutes, rotating the pans halfway through. Cool completely before frosting.
